[There's a loud slam as the journal seemingly falls to the ground, starting the recording function. The first thing it picks up is stumbling, followed by frantic screaming. Loud, frantic screaming.]
F-FIRE! FIIIRE!
The bread machine is on fire!
[And cue hurried footsteps as Cheria rushes off to try and find water. She tried putting bread that was already buttered into the toaster, in hopes it would save time and make the toast tastier. Suffice it to say, this didn't end well.]

By the way, please just call me "Richard" in public. My position isn't exactly public knowledge yet, and I'd prefer to keep it that way. I don't want anyone treating me differently because I'm royalty.
[That's one of the reasons Luceti is so nice, really-- here, he can just be a normal person, not King Richard of Windol.]

Don't worry, you don't need to be so apologetic about it-- it's an understandable mistake. But there's no need for such formalities between friends, especially not in a place like this.

Regardless of the circumstances, regardless of the title you wish to bear, you will always be my King and so I will always treat you with the formality you deserve.
[Action]
I don't deserve anything simply because of my position... respect is something that must be earned, not deserved.
