[There's a loud slam as the journal seemingly falls to the ground, starting the recording function. The first thing it picks up is stumbling, followed by frantic screaming. Loud, frantic screaming.]

F-FIRE! FIIIRE!

The bread machine is on fire!

[And cue hurried footsteps as Cheria rushes off to try and find water. She tried putting bread that was already buttered into the toaster, in hopes it would save time and make the toast tastier. Suffice it to say, this didn't end well.]

[Cheria stops in her tracks again.]

P-Pascal, where are you- [And then she notices the journal lying facedown on the ground. She hastily snatches it up. Once this is over, she'll have time to be embarrassed about having her fail recorded, but for now:]

The machine is on fire! You have to help me put it out! Get water! [Little does she know, throwing water on an electrical fire is a very bad idea.]

What? Why? There's a fire, Pascal!

[And she's just about to start the faucet to fill a big bowl with water, too.]

You're not making any sense!

[And speaking of "bzzzzap", the fire is really doing a number on the toaster. It's starting to spark dangerously now.]

If you chuck the water on the machine you'll get all zapped and hurt!

W-what?! But then how do I put it out?!

[She's about to object when there's a particularly loud sparking from the toaster and she squeaks again, flinching away from the device.]

All right! All right!

[Meanwhile, Cheria will be following Pascal's advice. Because in her blind panic, she's forgotten that Pascal does not always have the brightest ideas.]

Freeze Rain!

[Small icy projectiles fall down from the ceiling, instantly freezing the burning toaster.]

[But rapid freezing of something insanely hot can cause the object to crack. That's right, the toaster's metal exterior shatters, revealing the mechanics and breaking the wires. Wires that are still trying to conduct electricity.

The spark mayhem that follows is enough to send Cheria into another fit of hysterical screaming.]

KYAAAAAAAAA!!!

Wh-wh-whaaaa?! What the heck is going on!?

Magic made things worse! [She backs away a few steps, before her knees decide to give way and she sinks to the ground.]

Do something!

[And now the socket itself is sparking dangerously, as opposed to the wires. One of the sparks lands on a nearby cloth and it starts to sizzle, but luckily it's wet from having just been used to wipe the counter and refuses to catch fire.]

PASCAL! You're not helping!

We gotta cut off the power supply!

How?! [You're the scientist, Pascal, not her! She hasn't the faintest idea how this electricity thing works.]

Cheria! I'll tell you when it's all green for the old water treatment!

A-all right! [She hastily pushes herself up from the ground and stumbles over to the sink. Time to fill that bowl with water, after all!]

Righty-oh, Cheria! You're up!

[It's a good thing it's still in the middle of the day and there's enough sunlight streaming in through the windows, or this lack of electricity would've been troublesome. Once the bowl is filled, Cheria rushes a bit closer to the socket, which has now stopped sparking. Sadly, a few things surrounding it are still smouldering, including the toaster. The smell is making her a little dizzy.

With one giant splash, the water is tossed towards the crime scene, drowning whatever chance there was of another fire.]
