[There's a loud slam as the journal seemingly falls to the ground, starting the recording function. The first thing it picks up is stumbling, followed by frantic screaming. Loud, frantic screaming.]

F-FIRE! FIIIRE!

The bread machine is on fire!

[And cue hurried footsteps as Cheria rushes off to try and find water. She tried putting bread that was already buttered into the toaster, in hopes it would save time and make the toast tastier. Suffice it to say, this didn't end well.]

No, please, Cheria. I'm sure you must be shaken up after that experience, so I'll take care of it. Don't worry yourself over it.

No, I can do this. Really. It isn't any trouble at all.

No, really, let me do this.

Asbel. Surely you don't think I'm incapable of going to the store.

N-no, of course not! I just think I should be the one to go!

But why should you- [She breaks off, shaking her head. There's just no point.] ... How about we both go?

[...Oh. That's a good idea, actually.] ...That could work.

All right. Then, shall we go?

[Well, that's settled. Asbel gives her a smile.]

Yes, let's go! [Toasters are serious business.]

[To the store!]

I wonder what sort of toasters they have. Perhaps something with a nicer color.

...A nicer color? What's wrong with a white toaster like the one we just had?

We could get something to match the dinner plates. Sky blue, for example.

Sky blue... [...Hmm... But he really likes that white.]

Or a light yellow to match the kitchen tiles. You just have to be creative when thinking about these things.

I usually just go with what looks good to me... [What is interior decorating?]

But it has to look good with other things as well.

...It does?

Of course it does! [Asbel, don't you know anything?]

If you say so, Cheria. [Interior decorating is HARD. He'll let you handle that, Cheria.]
