[Cheria awoke in an incredibly good mood today. A good mood like she's never had before. It's like something inside her is telling her that everything is going to be all right. That she'll have a happy ending of sorts.

So naturally, she feels the need to spread these positive feelings through the village by means of the journal. When she speaks, her voice is rather dreamy.]

Good afternoon, everyone! Ah, such a beautiful sky. The animals and the trees of the forest are overflowing with happiness. I hope everyone will have a wonderful day!

[Oh yes, and she awoke wearing a nice dress today. A dress a princess might wear. It was strange, yes, but she won't let it ruin her good mood. In fact, she'll be going for a nice walk by the forest edge. As she does so, various forest critters will be drawn towards her and stroll along in her wake, chattering happily as she hums a cheerful tune to herself. Another rather peculiar thing to happen, but certainly not a bad one. She does like cute animals, after all.

When she returns to the house later on, she'll do all her chores such as cooking and cleaning with the same positive vigor.]

[The rats simply give Kratos a disdainful stare and swerve to avoid him, still making their way towards Cheria. And Cheria is still backing away nervously.] G-go away! Shoo!

[At that moment, one of the rats breaks free of the crowd and dashes towards Cheria's ankles. Whatever composure she still had snaps and she lets out a deafening scream.]

KYAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! [Without further delay, she turns on her heel and runs, leaving half the forest critters behind with confused expressions. Will Kratos follow?]

[She'll eventually stop running when she reaches the riverside, breathing heavily and still clutching that bunny to her chest. After setting the poor little thing down on the ground, she leans back against a nearby tree, trying to calm herself.]

[They didn't follow, luckily. Cheria's screaming was a very good hint that they should leave her alone. All the other forest critters have gone as well- The only one still left is the bunny that Cheria carried all the way out here.]

That... was... [She shakes her head, unable to finish that sentence.] I'm sorry.

This is so... strange. I wonder if all these animals are so interested in me because of the experiment...

I believe that is more than possible.

I don't understand... Where is the sense in that?

[Of course, Cheria is still relatively new to Luceti. She has yet to understand that most experiments lack sense.]

I... am not certain.

Ah... Well, at least we reached the riverside. [Brave attempt at a smile.]

Hm... yes.

[Goodness, Kratos can smile. And here, Cheria was wondering if he's as grim as Hubert.]

Shall we have a seat? ... Not that I would mind if you have other business to attend to. You must be a very busy man.

I'm not particularly busy, at the moment.

[Holding her skirt with both hands, she takes a seat on the ground. The rabbit settles down next to her, looking very much like a fuzzy white bundle with adorable large eyes.]

I wonder if anyone else is being followed by animals...

Perhaps.

... I hope they won't attract anything dangerous. Imagine if a bear were to approach them.

[She's not too worried about herself, of course. She's fought Eggbears before and there's a mercenary sitting here with her.]

Hm. Though, due to the nature of this place, creatures who share the physical appearance of a bear but mean no harm may also be among us. ...it would likely be a good idea to keep that mind.

Harmless bears? Hm... Well, if they were smaller they would make nice pets.

[But bears are huge and have huge claws. And they can smash things. Cheria is unsure if she would like to be near one, even if it were harmless.]

Pets? ...I suppose they would.

... Well, I think I'll stick with the usual house pets, like cats and dogs. [Not that she's ever really had a pet before. She just thinks most animals are cute.]

[She believes she may have caught a tiny glimpse of it, yes.]
