[Cheria awoke in an incredibly good mood today. A good mood like she's never had before. It's like something inside her is telling her that everything is going to be all right. That she'll have a happy ending of sorts.

So naturally, she feels the need to spread these positive feelings through the village by means of the journal. When she speaks, her voice is rather dreamy.]

Good afternoon, everyone! Ah, such a beautiful sky. The animals and the trees of the forest are overflowing with happiness. I hope everyone will have a wonderful day!

[Oh yes, and she awoke wearing a nice dress today. A dress a princess might wear. It was strange, yes, but she won't let it ruin her good mood. In fact, she'll be going for a nice walk by the forest edge. As she does so, various forest critters will be drawn towards her and stroll along in her wake, chattering happily as she hums a cheerful tune to herself. Another rather peculiar thing to happen, but certainly not a bad one. She does like cute animals, after all.

When she returns to the house later on, she'll do all her chores such as cooking and cleaning with the same positive vigor.]

How could I not be? It's such a lovely day.

Oh, it is! Have you gone by the river yet?

Oh, no. Not yet. Is there something worth seeing, there?

I haven't been there yet, but I was curious if something might have changed.

You think something might have changed by the river? ... Well, I can always take a look and then let you know.

I just figured they'll be something different about it, sometimes Luceti likes to change things around, not just the people. But if you have the time, I wouldn't mind knowin'.

Oh... You think there is an experiment affecting the village?

[She hadn't really stopped to consider it with her newfound carefree attitude, though now it's brought up, it does make a lot of sense.]

I hate to say it...but I think so.

[there's a pause in Locke's voice as he looks down at his new clothes]

I woke up in different clothing this morning. Though I'd be happy to say the if it is an experiment it's pretty tame as of now.

Oh yes, I quite agree. A wardrobe change isn't harmful at all. In fact, I rather like this new dress.

[Asbel returns to the house later that day, as Cheria's doing her chores. He had tried to ditch the strange costume he was in at several points during the day, but try as he might, it just wouldn't happen. He couldn't even ditch the crown. Well, it could be worse, at least. He decided to just go about his day as usual, even though he couldn't shake the feeling that he had something big to do later on...

With a click, he quietly opens the door, not wanting to make a racket.]

[Meanwhile, Cheria is mopping the living room windows. When she notices a couple of birds sitting on the sill outside, looking up at her, she chuckles softly. Then, she opens the window to let them in. They circle once around the room, before settling on her shoulder and her hand.]

Good afternoon, little birds. Are you having a good day as well?

[The birds twitter a cheerful tune in response. Cheria's so distracted, she won't even notice Asbel entering the room.]

Yeah, mine's not bad either. I even got a sword and, bow and arrow.

Hopefully stay this way for the time being, huh?

[Cheria would cook and anyone around would come to eat her dish. Hubert was one of those people.

But not today.

Today, Hubert is and has been in his room since the start of the day. From the looks of things, he's not about to leave anytime soon. He'd die before anyone saw him this way again. Clearly, the lack of activity calls for an investigation!]

[It calls for an investigation, indeed. Cheria isn't surprised that Hubert retreated into his room, as he does love his peace and quiet, but now that dinner is ready, it's about time for him to show himself.

She gives the door a few curt knocks.]

Hubert?

Oh, so you're dressed as a soldier? Or a knight, perhaps? [Sword, bow, arrows... She connects that to the army.]

[Oh, she's cleaning... Cheria always did a magnificent job of that...]

Cheria?

[She turns on the spot, the birds fluttering their wings restlessly but refusing to budge, surprise evident on her face for a moment.]

Oh, Asbel. You're wearing a costume as well?

[There is a long, long silence before he answers.]

. . . Cheria?

[Cheria isn't the only one in the house wearing a dress today. Richard is also wearing a long green gown, and by the time Cheria returns from her walk, she's likely to find him already doing some of the chores while singing softly about his prince coming.]

Ahh... Yeah, I am. I guess you haven't been able to remove yours, either?

No, I haven't. But it's all right. I rather like this dress.

[Cheria is certainly surprised at Richard's appearance. The fact that he's cleaning with such positive energy is nothing compared to how well the dress suits him. She watches him for about ten seconds, before approaching.]

Good afternoon, [King? Prince? ... Princess?] Richard.

Yes, it's me. I just wanted to let you know that dinner will be ready soon.

Well, that's good... I feel like I'm supposed to be a prince in this outfit, but... it doesn't feel very 'princely'. Do most princes wear such snug clothing? [Seriously, he never saw Richard wear anything like this...]
