[Cheria awoke in an incredibly good mood today. A good mood like she's never had before. It's like something inside her is telling her that everything is going to be all right. That she'll have a happy ending of sorts.

So naturally, she feels the need to spread these positive feelings through the village by means of the journal. When she speaks, her voice is rather dreamy.]

Good afternoon, everyone! Ah, such a beautiful sky. The animals and the trees of the forest are overflowing with happiness. I hope everyone will have a wonderful day!

[Oh yes, and she awoke wearing a nice dress today. A dress a princess might wear. It was strange, yes, but she won't let it ruin her good mood. In fact, she'll be going for a nice walk by the forest edge. As she does so, various forest critters will be drawn towards her and stroll along in her wake, chattering happily as she hums a cheerful tune to herself. Another rather peculiar thing to happen, but certainly not a bad one. She does like cute animals, after all.

When she returns to the house later on, she'll do all her chores such as cooking and cleaning with the same positive vigor.]

[Cheria isn't the only one in the house wearing a dress today. Richard is also wearing a long green gown, and by the time Cheria returns from her walk, she's likely to find him already doing some of the chores while singing softly about his prince coming.]

[Cheria is certainly surprised at Richard's appearance. The fact that he's cleaning with such positive energy is nothing compared to how well the dress suits him. She watches him for about ten seconds, before approaching.]

Good afternoon, [King? Prince? ... Princess?] Richard.

[Richard turns, surprised at first, then quickly greets her with a smile, his sweeping coming to a temporary halt.]

Miss Cheria. Were you out enjoying the lovely weather?

Oh, yes. It was such a nice day out, I simply couldn't resist!

It's hard to be cooped up inside with weather like this, wouldn't you agree? That's why I'm trying to get my chores done as quickly as possible so I can go out and enjoy it for myself.

[She takes a few more steps closer to Richard, still smiling pleasantly.]

Here, why don't you let me take care of those chores? Then you can go outside and enjoy the day while it still lasts.

[Richard matches that smile with one of his own and shakes his head.]

No, I couldn't ask you to do that. These chores are my responsibility, and it wouldn't be right to pass them off onto someone else, even if they offer.

Then, at least let me help you. I insist. [It is warm, polite insisting, but insisting nonetheless.]

Are you sure?

I'm positive.

Then I couldn't possibly say no to such a sincere offer.

Which chores do you still have left to do?

I still need to mop the floor and do the laundry-- perhaps you could take care of the laundry?

Of course. I'd be happy to! Just leave it to me, Richard.

Thank you, Miss Cheria. I'm sure Asbel will be pleased to find all of the chores done by the time he returns home.

[He'd better be pleased. And maybe then he'll finally realize just how wonderful and useful Richard is!]

Yes... I'm sure he will be pleased.

[That's why Cheria intends to do the laundry even better than Richard will mop the floor. Then she'll wait for Asbel to return, with a nice plate of hot food all ready for him to eat. It's the Princess's job to cater to her Prince's needs, and if there's a rival? Well, then she'll just have to try even harder.]

I'll make sure of that.

[No one can be better than Richard at chores, he's sure of that. He's spent his life trying his hardest to be as helpful as possible, because that's what a princess is supposed to do, right? And he's certainly not going to let this other princess beat him out for the heart and hand of a potential prince. No, not at all.]

[...] I'll do my best as well. It's my heart's desire to see Asbel happy.

[Even more than usual, she feels like she owes Asbel so much... She just wants to repay him for his kindness and all the times he watched over her. But she hasn't forgotten just what she'd seen during the draft. Just what Richard and Asbel had been doing. Such impure actions... Cheria would never do such things to him if he was hers. She will cook, clean and sew like a good wife, because that is what wives in fairytales do.]
