Does anyone here ever wonder about their future? The future in your own world, I mean. Do you think that spending much time here in Luceti may change what will happen when you return home, even if you do not remember your time here? [She pauses her writing, trying to find a way to explain what she means.]

For example, even if a friend from the same world as yourself has already told you what will happen when you return home, perhaps Luceti may have left such an impact on your subconsciousness that things will play out differently for you. I don't know much about the concept of timelines, but there could be deviations, could there not?

[Later that day, Cheria pays a visit to the library, in search of a few... particular books. She won't be asking for any help from the librarian and she'll take care not to have anyone nearby when she chooses her literature of interest.

Once she's found what she's looking for, she returns to house #28 as discreetly as possible. So discreetly, in fact, that it might be seen as suspicious. She makes sure the bag with her books is firmly closed, keeps a close eye out for anyone she might know and when she reaches the house, she removes her shoes immediately to tiptoe through the halls towards her room.

Huh.. That would almost be a little funny, right? That makes it seem like they put people here in the same groups they send them away!

I don't think it works exactly like that, but there may still be a pattern to arrivals and departures that nobody's noticed yet.

Do you really think there could be some sort of pattern..? It all just seemed really weird and random to me.

Who knows? It might be something that the average human won't spot. Or perhaps there's something that certain residents have in common.

What could we two have in common then? I'm really curious right now!

Let's see.. I guess I really like sleeping, eating and doing karaoke! I think those are the most important ones!

Those things aren't really hobbies of mine, though I do enjoy cooking.

Then it's a deal! I really, really want to taste your food, since I love eating things! ... Unless it's icky vegetables, those aren't always nice..

Vegetables can be delicious as well. It only depends on how they're prepared.

You're saying you can cook vegetables in a way that makes them actually tasty?! That's almost a miracle!

It's only a matter of adding the right flavors. If you add a delicious sauce, the vegetables should be just fine.

Well, I'll trust you on it then! As long as it's delicious, I'll eat it for sure!

If you'd like, I can teach you how to prepare all sorts of foods.

Well, I'm not so sure how good I would be at it myself..

Anyone can be good at cooking. It's only a matter of practice.

.. Hopefully it's not too much practice.. that sounds like too much work!

It would be worth it. Once you learn how to prepare food to your liking, you can have delicious meals and snacks whenever you want.

Delicious snacks, and as much of them as I'd want.. Ah, no way, this is too tempting!
